It’s a Rogue Roundup: See what we Rogues discovered, researched, and talked about in September…
We started September with an ending. Three years ago, the Rogues were delighted to welcome New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Alex Kava to our group. Now, with her schedule full of writing, promoting, and events, she’s taking a step back from Rogue Women Writers. We gave her a warm farewell and recall some of her most popular blogs.
Next, ZJ Czupor brought us clues to a mystery author–as he does each second Tuesday of the month. For September’s tour, he took us back to meet one of the most influential horror authors of the 20th Century. Any guesses on who?
Another question: are you part of a book club? Did you know you can ask an author to visit your meeting either in person or over zoom? Tosca Lee walked us through how to do just that on her mid-September blog, Book Clubs.
Next, Lisa Black and ChapGTP compare notes on their favorite detectives. See who made the list and let us know who they left out.
Book Club concluded and ChatGPT signed off, we powered down the computer and decided to take a trip–though maybe not a vacation. Chris Goff walked us through how to adventure in your 60s in Travel Now, Vacation Later.
Lastly, we ended the month with a beginning. Debut author Lisa Malice went rogue on the 30th, to recount her first ever Bouchercon experience and walk us through how new authors can promote their debut novels at a major thriller conference.
That’s all for the September Rogue Roundup! Join us October 21 for the next Rogue Reads. Our own Jenny Milchman and her newest novel (launched Oct 1) will be featured alongside three other authors.
We’ll see you then and, until next time, stay Rogue.
