This dead writer flew the Panama Canal.

THE PANAMA CANAL. This famous mystery writer received his aviator’s wings while in the U.S. Navy Air Corps and during World War II patrolled the Panama Canal Zone in various aircraft. It was here he started writing to relieve his boredom when he was not flying.
