MAY ROGUE ROUNDUP

It’s a Rogue Roundup: See what we Rogues discovered, researched, and talked about in May…

We started May off somewhere special–the sacred space writers go to make the word flow. Alex Kava tells us of her sacred place and the disaster which destroyed it.

May Rogue Roundup A Writer's Sacred Place

Bringing a book to life varies greatly one to the next, each experience as unique as raising a child. And, akin to kids, an author is unlikely to claim one novel their favorite. However, if Tosca Lee was being honest, one novel-writing experience does stand out.

The second Tuesday of May saw the return of Z.J. Czupor and his fan favorite, On Tour with Dead Writers. Did you guess at this month’s mysterious dead writer? Gather your clues and drop your guesses in the comments of this month’s guess who. June’s game will be out on the 11th with bonus clues to our subscribers on the 1st!

We returned from our game of guess who to find two hungry kittens and no sign of their mischievous mother. Lisa Black regales us with the misadventures of Houdini the foster cat and her two newborns in Lying in Wait for Houdini the Foster Cat.

Settling the matter of Houdini, we announced a Rogue Flash for Tosca Lee, who joined Caroline Kepnes, author of You, in conversation on Thursday, May 23, as part of the ITW Breakout Series.

Lastly, we ended May with a party—our Birthday Party! We’re turning eight and to celebrate, we are gifting one lucky Newsletter Subscriber with an Anniversary mega-haul9 physical books, 2 audiobooks, and a whole tote bag of thriller swag!! We choose a winner on the 10th, tell your friends!

Thank you for joining us for the May Rogue Roundup. Join us on June 10th for the next Rogue Reads.
And, until next time, stay Rogue.

Don’t Miss a Thing!
