It’s a Rogue Roundup: See what we Rogues discovered, researched, and talked about in July…
July began with a Rogue Reel featuring Brendan Nicholaus Slocumb, who joined us on Rogue Reads in May to read the opening of his novel, The Dark Maestro. Click here to watch the clip, and you’ll find a link to the entire May event if you’d like to see more.
Thrillerfest’s 20th annual conference was held at the end of June. The event was significant for attendees, but it felt extra special to us Rogues. Isabella Maldonado, Tosca Lee, and, of course, Gayle Lynds, who founded the conference with Rambo author David Morrell, were all there! Get all the details in 20 Years of Thrills.

Next up was ZJ Czupor with his monthly installment of On Tour with Dead Writers. Which author designed his own chateau? Find out here. Our next Dead Author clue drops on August 12! Those who guess correctly are entered to win a free book.
Considering the heat, Jenny Milchman decided to take us on a flashback to the spring. Picture it: she and her husband have boarded a plane to Ireland to stay in a stranger’s home. Sound a bit odd? We’ll let her explain.
Speaking of homes, did you know Lisa Black is building one? It’s been a bit arduous at times, however it has brought her to a funny realization: the process is somewhat similar to writing a book.
In both cases, an author can feel like she needs a vacation from it. Or at least to dream about one. Lisa Black wraps July by sharing photos and stories from her June vacation in Bonaire.

That’s all for the July Rogue Roundup! Until next time, stay Rogue.
