ROGUE FLASH – Children and a dog in the White House

by | Dec 11, 2022 | Karna Small Bodman, The Writer's Life | 7 comments

We are happy to announce that Rogue Karna Small Bodman just received a contract to publish her new children’s picture book, Wrigley in The White House, which was inspired by the 6 years she served in The White House (those experiences also inspired her adult political thrillers).

This new story is about young children living in The White House who get a puppy (“Wrigley”) for their birthday. The pup then runs around the famous building getting into trouble while also solving a big problem for their dad, the president. Karna hopes littles ones will laugh at the antics of the dog and also learn about the home for our First Families with an Oval Office, State Dining Room with a portrait of Abe Lincoln and so much more.  It’s likely release date will be some time in 2023–we will post an update at that time.

I cannot wait for this to be published, Karna! It sounds so magical, historical, and fun. The White House has always fascinated me. Although I’ve visited, I’ve seen just a fraction of what’s there. So excited about your publishing deal for WRIGLEY AT THE WHITE HOUSE! Congratulations!
